Easy Low cost methods which does NOT require you to be an artist to succeed
Toilet paper and thinned glue is easily formable
To create models and miniatures for model railroad railway often requires expensive artist materials, or epoxy based resins from the model material manufacturers. However, here are modelling techniques based on toilet paper and PVA-B glue (wood glue). Simply apply three layers of toilet paper with an rich amount of the mixture of water and wood glue becomes like thick pulp. The waves formed by a brush of suitable size.
Seafloor is painted with acrylic colors
Black, white, green and burnt umber mixed in different shades gives a perfect color for a typical North sea, or Atlantic harbour see floor. The edges of the various shades is erased using a brush dipped in tap water.
High-gloss clear coat gives a realistic surface
A layer of clear coat (high gloss varnish) over the entire surface is applied once the painting of the see floor is ready. After that a layer of undiluted wood glue over the entire surface is applied. Finish by painting the entire surface with at least 3-4 layers high gloss clear coat. Boats, swimmers, fisher men and other objects is placed in the scene first after these steps are completed. Any wave, or breaking waves around these objects are made using Noch water effect (Noch item 60872).

The easy way to create realistic waterfalls is to apply the Water effect on to a plastic foil (food wrapper type) and then dip a flat brush with white acryllic paint in arrow shaped pattern from top to bottom. Detailed guide in the Youtube video.
White water is as easy to make using Noch water effect and Micro fibers from pillows
White water gives the model railroad, railway, table top fantasy RPG mat an awesome eye catcher, which makes your miniature terrain stand out from the rest. It´s low cost and easy to make too! The easy way to create realistic waterfalls is to apply the Water effect on to a plastic foil (food wrapper type) and then push Micro fiber wool from an pillow into the effect before it dries.
